The airport is located about nine kilometres north of the city centre. It can be reached directly by car and bus via the A4 (Chemnitz - Dresden - Görlitz), A13 (Berlin - Dresden) and A17 (Prague - Dresden) motorways as well as via the B97 main road.
Sufficient parking spaces are available at the airport. There are 2,900 parking spaces in the multi-storey car park alone, which is connected to the terminal via a glass footbridge.
